Box Hill South Neighbourhood House
Box Hill South Neighbourhood House is a not-for-profit, community owned and managed organisation, offering activities and programs developed tin response to the needs of the community. We operate on the community development model of practice; we want to help individuals grow, link people together and see our community become stronger and a better place to live in.
Membership of our house is open to anyone using our programs and activities, no matter where you live; everyone is welcome.
Our House receives some funding from the Department of Health and Human services and from the City of Whitehorse.
Approximately 50% of our income is generated by House participants. The City of Whitehorse provides our venue.
Box Hill South Neighbourhood House is running Umbrella Dementia Cafes in 2020 bi-monthly. This is a wonderful program for people experiencing dementia and their care givers and family.
Please note that the Umbrella Dementia Cafes will be suspended until further notice.
