Box Hill South Neighbourhood House
Box Hill South Neighbourhood House is a not-for-profit, community owned and managed organisation, offering activities and programs developed tin response to the needs of the community. We operate on the community development model of practice; we want to help individuals grow, link people together and see our community become stronger and a better place to live in.
Membership of our house is open to anyone using our programs and activities, no matter where you live; everyone is welcome.
Our House receives some funding from the Department of Health and Human services and from the City of Whitehorse.
Approximately 50% of our income is generated by House participants. The City of Whitehorse provides our venue.
Our Annual Watercolour Exhibition and Sale
Our 28th Annual Exhibition and Sale of Watercolour paintings by the Park Artists will be held on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of August.
Come along and see some of amazing works by the talented artists in our Watercolour Art classes run by Patricia Turner and by our Botanical Drawing artists run by Trish Bourke.
There will be demonstrations by Pat Turner and she has also donated the beautiful painting shown for someone to win at the close of the exhibition.
The House team makes freshly baked scones throughout the weekend and Devonshire teas are available for purchase.
Our first Umbrella Dementia Cafe starts on Wednesday the 14th of August from 12pm to 2pm.
